These are the books I genuinely love — the ones that shaped the kind of story I wanted to tell. If they live rent-free in your head too, there's a door at the bottom of this page with your name on it.
The Empyrean · by Rebecca Yarros
Dragon riders, a brutal war college, and a romance that burns as hot as the dragons do.
If the dragons and the slow-burn tension are what kept you up at night, you already understand half of why Wrapped in Veilfire exists.
ACOTAR · by Sarah J. Maas
A mortal woman dragged into the lands of the fae, where nothing — and no one — is what it seems.
Fae who speak in half-truths and a human woman out of her depth? That door opens straight into Emeriun's world.
The Inheritance Cycle · by Christopher Paolini
A farm boy, a dragon egg, and one of the great dragon bonds in modern fantasy.
For everyone who fell in love with dragons as thinking, feeling beings — not beasts. The dragons in the Wings of Lost Gods Saga are owed that same respect, and they intend to collect.
Shadow Beast Shifters · by Jaymin Eve
Shifter politics, a rejected mate who refuses to break, and a shadowy beast with secrets of his own.
If you love fierce heroines, sharp banter, and powerful creatures who are more than they seem, you'll feel at home with Emeriun — and with the dragon in her head.
Fallen Academy · by Leia Stone
Demons, angels, and a snarky heroine fighting through a supernatural academy.
Dark forces, sharp humor, and a woman who won't stop asking questions — exactly the energy that runs through the Wings of Lost Gods Saga.
Wrapped in Veilfire has everything on this list in its blood: fae who lie beautifully, dragons who deserve better than the chains the fae put them in, a heroine with a sarcastic streak and a coffee problem — and a dark smoke called the Blight that takes the life of everyone it touches.
It's my debut novel and the first door of the Wings of Lost Gods Saga. Chapter One is free to read right here.
