The World

Fae. Dragons. And a smoke that kills.

Everything here has been shaped by someone else's decisions — long before Emeriun arrived to question them.

The Fae

The High Fae rule from glass spires and speak in half-truths. They fear what Emeriun might become — and they brought her here to use her.

Dragons

Once free and powerful, dragons have been chained, imprisoned, and used by the fae for their magic and power. Many have suffered for generations, treated as tools rather than intelligent beings. Their captivity — and the truth behind what was done to them — becomes a major part of Emeriun's journey.

The Blight

A dark smoke that takes the life of everyone it touches. It creeps through the world unchecked, and what it truly is — and where it came from — is something only the book can tell you.

The Prophecy

Emeriun is supposed to be the answer to a prophecy she has never heard of. Every answer she gets only leaves her with more questions.

They were never meant to be tools.

Dragons were free and powerful once. The fae chained them, imprisoned them, and drained them for magic and power. Whole generations have known nothing but captivity, treated as instruments rather than intelligent beings.

What was done to them — and why — becomes one of the central threads of Emeriun's journey.
